Like our recipes, Andrea is a transplant from the land down under. Originally from Queensland, Australia, she arrived on American shores in her early 20s to study and work in international development. Over the next two decades she built her home in the US while traveling extensively and advising on projects to bring water, sanitation, electricity and roads to underdeveloped communities across the globe. She also started a family. As her children grew, Andrea wanted to share with them the ‘yummo’ treats she had enjoyed as a kid in Australia so she started baking her favorite traditional Aussie ‘slice’ recipes at home for her sons, their friends and families. They were an instant hit! She wanted to share these unique and authentic treats in a way that not only benefited taste buds but would also help to serve those in our communities in need. Boomerang Bites was born in 2018 to do just that.

BE GOOD. This means much more than making the best, yummiest bites with the finest natural ingredients. It’s also how we do business. We believe in treating everyone with respect and care — our customers, our suppliers, our café partners and our employees. They are fundamental to how and why we do business and integral to our success.
DO GOOD. This is our fuel. It’s why we started our company. We believe that business can and should be a catalyst for good — giving back to our communities and our planet. At Boomerang Bites we believe that when you send out goodness, it comes right back. We donate at least ten percent of our profits, mostly to educational causes. Access to education changed our lives and we want to change the lives of others. In the words of our hero Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
