Stormy Skies, Sweet Memories
The muggy days and sudden monsoonal storms this past month have taken me straight back to my childhood in the tropics of Australia — something I never thought I’d find in New Jersey! Back home, we’d sit on the verandah watching the rain bucket down, cooling off with a cold drink and a slice fresh from the oven. It’s funny how the smallest things can transport you home. And speaking of home, it was a hoot serving up bites at America Josh’s great Aussie BBQ last weekend. Great Aussie wines, cold beers, a proper sausage sizzle, and Aussie accents everywhere....

Usually, by this time of year, I’d be sharing stories of a summer adventure — but with our boys now older (and busy living their best lives), we’ve hit pause on the annual family trip until the holidays.
