The muggy days and sudden monsoonal storms this past month have taken me straight back to my childhood in the tropics of Australia — something I never thought I’d find in New Jersey! Back home, we’d sit on the verandah watching the rain bucket down, cooling off with a cold drink and a slice fresh from the oven. It’s funny how the smallest things can transport you home.
